Value Creating Construction Process is a co-operation between seven of the Danish construction sector’s leading organisations.

The purpose of this co-operation is to find and develop best practises for creating and maintaining value in the construction process across the different agents in the constructions sector and through-out the entire construction process – from conceptual design to facilities management.

A good collaboration is crucial for any construction project, but can be challenging in demolition projects as demolition is marred by uncertainty. This results in conditions where it is important to take the environmental history and structure of the building into account even though time and economy can be tight.

Dilemmas and decisions in the demolition process

This guides focuses on the dilemmas and decisions that might occur in a circular demolition process. There are three central themes: demolition or renovation, choosing materials for reuse and recycling, and the circular demolition regulations.

This guide contains a faster and more affordable conflict resolution by presenting mediation and conciliation conflict resolution tools that deal with more aspects of a conflict than a traditional arbitration process.

The Sustainable Construction Process

This guide concerns the sustainable process in the construction industry and elobarates on how to make the right sustainable choices.

The Handover Process

This guide contains a number of examples of activities and methods which do not claim to be exhaustive but may help to improve the concluding process up to the handover. In particular, it introduces pre-inspection as an activity to ensure fewer errors and defects at the time of handover.

Involving Sub-Contractors

This guide explains how sub-contractors can actively be involved in the building process and how planning and coordination can support collaboration among contractors at the production stage, where the skills of the sub-contractors make an active contribution to value creation in the process.

This guide discusses the activities meant to ensure that a construction project and a project team get things right from start, creating clairity and balancing the constraints. Bringing the right skills into play early in the process will lay the foundations for the subsequent process to become value-creating.

This guide discusses challenges in the distribution and payment of winter measures. The guidelines identifies central considerations that a client and a consultant should make in regard to, payments of winter measures, project design and construction in the winter period.

The purpose of this publication is to stimulate debate about phase transitions – what they contain and how they should be approached.

The schedule analysis provides the client and its consultants with a better overview of the project, and the bidders with a better basis for optimising their tenders.
