In today’s presentation, we will explore how digital TAKT planning can become the operational backbone of production in construction projects. Dr. Janosch Dlouhy will dive deep into the work of industrial construction with TAKT in the digital world.
At the core of this approach lies the WORK.package — the smallest manageable production unit on site. Instead of planning activities in isolation, TAKT.ing structures execution around WORK.packages that bundle everything required to deliver value in a defined location and time.
Each WORK.package is directly connected to:
- 3D / 2D model elements
- 4D scheduling logic
- quantities and material data
- logistics requirements
- effort values and crew sizing
- cost information
- quality criteria
- site images and documentation
- defects and progress status
- and further production-relevant parameters
This creates a consistent, location-based production dataset — linking planning, execution, and controlling within one shared system.
You will gain insight into how TAKT planning evolves from a visual scheduling method into a data-driven production system. By integrating WORK.packages across disciplines and project phases, variability is reduced, transparency is increased, and waste can be systematically eliminated. The goal? A scalable production system where Lean thinking is executed through connected production data.
Participation is free and open to everyone.
